Eastern Michigan University Chief Information Officer Ron Woody Named for IdScope 50 Awards

Ypsilanti – Eastern Michigan University Chief Information Officer Ron Woody was presented with the EdScope 50 Award, which honors top information technology leaders in higher education. Woody has worked at the university for 22 years, leading the university’s information technology department for five years. He is also a graduate of Eastern Michigan University, with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education.

In their first year, the awards honor the most influential people in the higher education technology community, with the most innovative projects making a positive impact at universities.

“The EdScoop 50 Awards are all about recognizing the higher education community in a new way,” said Jake Williams, vice president of content and community at StateScoop and EdScoop. “Institutions have been forever changed by the Covid-19 pandemic, and these awards recognize a class of leaders who are driving change and moving universities forward.”
